Filva Ballonvaarten heeft verschillende opstijglocaties in het Waasland en in functie van het weer en de windrichting kiezen we de gepaste locatie om een mooie ballonvlucht regio Waasland te maken.
Een ballonvaart boven het mekka van de ballonvaart in België, namelijk het Waasland, een unieke ervaring ! De hemel kleurt hier dikwijls vol luchtballons bij valavond rond Sint-Niklaas. Geniet met ons mee van dit mooie schouwspel. Een ballonvlucht laat je avontuurlijk genieten samen met je partner, je vrienden of de hele familie.
In het Waasland wonen tientallen ballonvaarders, vooral als vrijetijdsbesteding en hobby. Filva Ballonvaarten is een fulltime ballonbedrijf en wij pakken het ietsje professioneler aan. Een ballonvaart boven het Waasland kan zowel in de ochtend als in de avond.
Onze mogelijke vertreklocaties voor het Waasland zijn Sint-Niklaas, Waasmunster, Stekene, Wachtebeke, Beervelde of Kieldrecht. Afhankelijk van de windrichting wordt een uiteindelijke opstijgplaats gekozen.
Indien je een privé-vlucht boekt kan je in overleg met Filva Ballonvaarten je eigen opstijgplaats bepalen zoals in je buurt of in je tuin.
Wanneer er een noordoostenwind staat vertrekken we meestal vanuit Kieldrecht waar je een zicht krijgt op de kreken van Saleghem, bij een westenwind zal dit eerder vanuit Beervelde zijn. Zo zorgen we ervoor dat jullie ruim een uur kunnen genieten van de uitzichten.
Je ziet Antwerpen liggen met zijn haven, Sint-Niklaas met zijn blokken Van Haemelinckx en ook Gent met zijn KBC toren. Allemaal heel duidelijke landmarks. Ook het stiltegebied van Sinaai en de Moervaart omgeving zijn ware natuurtoppers om over te varen.
De totale belevenis duurt steeds drie à vier uur, dus voorzie voldoende tijd. We spreken af bij zonsopgang bij een ochtendvaart of een tweetal uur voor zonsondergang bij een avondvaart. Bij aankomst word je verwelkomd door ons team. Je wordt ingecheckt en als iedereen aanwezig is, volgt er een veiligheidsbriefing door de piloot.
Na de briefing wordt de luchtballon opgeblazen met koude lucht. De luchtballon komt recht van zodra de ballonbrander wordt ingezet. Staat de luchtballon warm genoeg, dan is het tijd om de lucht in te gaan. De vluchttijd is ongeveer een uur waarbij we meedrijven op de stroming van de wind. Het is de wind die kiest waar het avontuur naar toe gaat. Na de vaart pakken we met z’n allen de ballon weer in. Om af te sluiten genieten we na bij een glaasje voor iedereen en ontvangen jullie een gepersonaliseerd aandenken.

*Balloon flights are weather dependent and especially wind dependent. Filva Ballooning aims to offer only quality and safe balloon rides. The final departure location in a given flight region is therefore only determined on the day of the flight itself, depending on the wind direction. So you can no longer choose to leave at a particular location.

Filva Ballooning is a full-time balloon company. This gives the flight preparation, such as the daily analysis of the weather conditions and the maintenance and preparation of the equipment, the necessary time. We feel it is important that this is not treated as an incidental matter after coming home from another profession. Your and our safety are too important!
Filva Ballooning is a company that works entirely according to the standards imposed by EASA, the European aviation authorities. This means that our hotair balloons meet the highest quality standards and that our pilots and crew are specially trained to consider safety as the top priority.
Our pilots are experienced and must have at least 450 flight hours to be allowed to fly with our balloons.
Driving with a balloon trailer requires a BE driving license in most cases. Many balloonists are not legally compliant with this.
Our hotair balloons are all from the Ultramagic Balloons brand. A top brand that stands for quality, innovation and energy efficiency. Every year they are subjected to a strict aviation inspection. We don’t forget our vehicles and trailers either!
We also work with a caterpillar vehicle and a winch on the trailer. This way we avoid unnecessary dragging when we clean up the balloon and the basket after the flight.
That the lucky passenger ends the balloon ride with a glass of bubbles is beyond question. However, we also provide a glass for your chasing car. They also experienced an adventure following the hot air balloon by road.

Hot air ballooning is not a one-man show. A whole team of pilots, drivers and ground crew are always ready for you. We can use several balloons that vary in size. This allows us to fly up to 100 passengers at the same time.
